Abstract:

The paper describes an easy dynamic model of the thyristor. The model is adequate for turning-on and turning-off behaviour of the thyristor. The models's parameters are derived directly from the available data-sheet with little computational work involved. The experimental observation of the thyristor during turning-on and turning-off are very close to the model behaviour.
