Abstract:
A series of experiments were performed to select suitable eluting solvents for separation of anions S-2, SO3-2, So4-2 and S2O3-2. Two solvents (Methanol : Pyridine :Ammonium hydrcxide) and (Ethanol : Pyridine : Water) proved effective for the separation of the anions. Malachite green and mixture of KMnO4 and BaCl2 were used as locating reagents.
