Abstract:
Vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizal infection was present in both the thallus and rhizoidal portions of a bryophyte, pellia calycina. Different shapes of vesicles with homogenous and vacuolated contents were frequently observed in both portions. In the thallus cells vesicles were mostly associated with mycelial network. Arbuscular infection was totally lacking in all the samples studied. Multiple VAM infection was present.
