Abstract:
The study describes the growth inhibition of N. gonorrhoeae by a number of aerobic bacteria on solid media and compared with the results obtained with osmotically stabilized solid and liquid media. Some species inhibited the gonococcus in liquid media but did not produce an inhibitory substance on plate extraction. In comparison more species produced an inhibitory substance when cultured on solid medium, but did not inhibit the growth of gonococci in osmotically stabilized liquid media.
