Abstract:

This manuscript represents the identification of 7 species of Oedipodinae (Acrididae) under 6 genera, including Heteropternis sarimahii sp. Nov. from Malaysia. Three species viz., Heteropternis respondens (Walker, F.), Pternoscirta caliginosa (Haan) and Gastrimargus marmoratus (Thunberg) are recorded for the first time from Malaysia. In addition, a key of the local genera has also been constructed.
