Abstract:
Phlegmasia Alba dolens or white leg is a form of veinous thrombotic disease often encountered in post-partum cases. With timely recognition and proper conservative management condition revolves completely in most cases. A few cases are reported to develop chronic vein:. insufficiency which is easily managed by conservative measures. Phlegmasia Cerulae Dolens (extensive Ileo-Femoral thrombosis) is a very serious disease with ettetreset and a great danger to limb and life. Earlier the operative treatment(Thrombectemy) is instituted greater the chances of saving life and limb. Merits of operative treatment are discussed in detail.
