Abstract:
An anthelmintic trial on the efficacy of Morantel tartrate against nematode parasites revealed 97 percent reduction in faecal egg count. Ninety percent of the animals stopped passing eggs in their faeces. Total average weight gain was (16.4 kg) significantly higher in infected treated group as compared to infected untreated group (8.13 kg). Average weight gain of uninfected untreated group was also significantly higher (22.0 kg) as comported to infected treated and infected untreated groups in 31 days of experimental period.
