The abundance and distribution of yellow mite, polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks), on five cultivars of jute in Peshawar.

Abstract:
Densities/leaf of the yellow mite, Polyphagotarsonemus latus (Banks), ranged from 0. 2-38. 6, 0.03-36. 3, 0.03-13. 1, 0.02-16.5 and 0.03-1.0 on cvs. Nepal - 1, 0-4, C-6, Yue - Yuan No. 5 and Sunkukra, respectively. The mite occurred most abundantly on the ventral surface of young leaves. The predatory mite, Amblyseius delhiensis (N. & K.), was encountered in association with P. latus.
