Abstract:
To objective of the study was to evaluate different causes of infertility with diagnostic laparoscopy. All the patients admitted with the complaint of infertility were selected and screened for different causes of infertility. In this study total number of patients were 338, upon whom diagnostic laparoscopies were performed, during a two years period. Among them 244 patients (72.19%) had primary infertility and 94 patients (27.81%) secondary infertility. 201 patients (59.46%) were between the age of 18-30 years and 137 patients (40.53%) between 31-40 years. The common findings were tubal blockage, (35.85%) ovarian problems, (32.83%) endometriosis (16.16%) and fibroid uterus. (15.15%) Twenty eight patients (8.29%) showed minor problems like shoulder tip pain, abdominal distension, vomiting and fever, following laparoscopy.
