Abstract:
Background: Present experiment was organized to assess A. vera polysaccharides as a curative and immunomodulatory effect against Salmonellosis in poultry birds. Material and Method: Overall 80 day older broiler chicks were bought from the local shops and make four groups from A to D. Aloe vera polysaccharides were given to the birds at 5th, 6th and 7th days @ 100 mg, 200 mg and 300 mg to the groups A, B and C. group D was kept as control. Results: Results revealed that in chickens supplemented with A. vera polysaccharide showed lymphoproliferative reaction to Phytohemagglutinin-P significant high (p<0.05) as contrasted to control group. Carbon particle clearance evaluation revealed significant high clearance index (K) in control group and phagocytic index (a) revealed significant high reaction in all three A. vera supplemented groups. The titers Igs, IgG and IgM were significantly higher in A. vera supplemented groups. Weekly body mass were highly significant (p<0.05) as contrast to control. Conclusion: Highest protection was observed in A. vera administered groups. The contemporary experiment showed that A. vera has ability to be utilized as immuno modulator and therapeutic agents in poultry birds.
