Abstract:

UV-spectrophotometric method has been developed to estimate a-tocopherol acetate in tablets and soft capsules. The A max was found to be 285 nm in ethanol and isopropanol. The percentage error was found to be 2 to 7 in a-tocopherol acetate preparations whilst this increases in multivitamin preparations.
