Abstract:

Two crystalline compounds, designated as prosopol ;OW , m.p. 83.5C, and prosopenol CJ,HJ 03 m.p. 245C, have been isolated from Prosopis glandulosa,A-Sitosterol has also been isolated. The IR, UV and NMR spectra of the new compounds have been recorded.
