pH varied from 6.2 to 7.4, calcium as Ca++ was high, highest 4280 mg/lit., total hardness was also very high chlorides and phosphates were very high, highest 99000 and 11234 mg/lit. respectively 12 genera of algae were found it tanks and 20 in water channel; 12 genera of animals were found in tanks and 20 in water channel; productivity of bottom fauna was low at both places.
