Abstract:
The adults of Dysdercus koenigii (Fabricius) were treated with different concentrations of nicotine dust and methoprene and the LD5o was calculated as 60. 00 lug/adult and 6. 8,ug/adult, respectively and it was observed that methoprene has lesser LD50as compared to nicotine dust but produces more abnormalities. It was also observed that both compounds increase the hatching period.
