Abstract:
Kinetics of the formation of carbon disulphide from natural gas and sulphur over silical gel catalyst has been studied with a view to developing the optimum process design. The suitable design equation for the rate of formation of carbon disulphide at 650C is: Formula is missing. the value of kc, being 0.0292 g mole CS2/hr (g catalyst) (atm) at this temperature.
