Abstract:
Gendria pakistanica sp. n. described from Rana cynophylectis from Karachi, Pakistan. The new species is characterized by possesing long and delicate body, two pairs of small buccal teeth, one pair of small buccal papillae, undivided club-shaped muscular esophagus separated from intestine by two well developed esophageal valves, inflated cervical cuticle, expanded large plate like gubernaculum, 10 pairs of sessile caudal papillae, including 3 pairs postanal, 1 pair anal, 1 pair adanal, 5 pairs preanal, and an unpaired papillae anterior to sucker, spicules equal 0.224-0.293 by 0.021-0.027mm. Vulva at a distance of 3.625-8.944mm from the anterior end, ova rounded, unsegmented, thinshelled, 0.041-0.055mm in diameter.
