Trematodes of some amphibians and reptiles in Pakistan.

Abstract:
In Karachi and Sind regions of Pakistan, ten species of trematodes are described from amphibians and reptiles. There are four species of the genus Ganeo. two of Astiotrema, two of Encyclometra, one of Moilpeguj and one Mehraorchis. The species described are Ganeo macrocotyle sp. n.; G Kumaonensis Pande, 1937 G. tigrinus Mehra et Nagi, 1928; G sirinagarensis Kawo 1-9-317Astiotrema loossii Mehra, 1931; A, elongatum Mehra 1931; Encyclometra japonica Yoshida and Ozaki, 1924; E. columbrimurorum Rudolphi, 1819, Malipegus mehransis-FIVestava, 1933; and Mehraorchis ranarum Srivastava 1934. From the ten different trematodes Ganeo macrocotyle is a new species. The other nine species are previously reported from India.
