Abstract:
Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) is a hypersensitivity reaction to colonized aspergillosis in bronchi. It commonly presents with difficult to treat asthma. It also affects patients of cystic fibrosis. Atypical presentations of ABPA are difficult to diagnose and eventually leading to pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary dysfunction and respiratory failure. There are specific criteria to diagnose ABPA which includes clinical, laboratory and radiological findings. Here we are reporting a 10-year-old boy who presented with productive cough, difficulty in breathing and intermittent fever for last 5 years.
