Abstract:

Crude extract of Peucedanum sp. (Soya) and an OC compound heptachlor were used against 4th instar larvae of Culex fatigans for comparing the control potential of the former. The LC5o of Peucedanum and heptachlor are found to be 4400 ppm and 0.44 ppm, respectively. Both samples produced significant abnormalities. The former is quite safe as far as toxicity is concerned but produced almost similar abnormalities.
