Abstract:
Employee engagement is different terminology as compare to some similar terms like the job involvement, job satisfaction, job commitment, empowerment and flow. Macey and Schneider diffused employee engagement from job involvement. Blizzard, Frese, Macey & Schneider and Rich distinguished this term from job satisfactions. Similarly, Macey and Schneider differentiated employee engagement from job commitment. Macey and Schneider discriminated employee engagement from empowerment. Moreover, Schaufeli and Bakker concluded that employee engagement was different term as compare to flow. Moreover, this study has proposed the model of employee engagement on the basis of Khan’s work and further divided the term employee engagement into physical engagement, cognitive engagement and emotional engagement.
