Abstract:
The induction of genetic variability in plants regenerated from diverse explants of Solanum tuberosum L via intermediary of callus formation was explored. The sterilized explants were inoculated on a solid culture media in vitro and phenotypic variation was observed in the regenerated plants. The call' retained their organogenetic potential even after several sub-cultures, however, the changes were observed in the number and structures of chromosomes with the age of the culture.
