Abstract:
Therapeutic value of orally administered Zinc was evaluated in two patients (an adult male and female) suffering from acrodermatitis enteropathica. The zinc serum level and urine zinc concentrations were extremely low in these patients. Both patients were given zinc sulphate in 200 mg. daily dose, which resulted in slight increase in zinc serum concentration, and the patients were ultimately cured.
