Abstract
GATA proteins are a class of transcriptional regulators that can identify and bind to GATA motifs, which generally have a zinc finger structure. In this study, 30 GATA transcription factors in tomato were obtained, analyzed, and divided into 4 subgroups. For the tomato GATA zinc finger domain, most of the amino acid sites were highly conserved. The results of chromosomal localization showed that the GATA family members were distributed on 12 chromosomes of tomato. The tissue-specific expression patterns of 14 GATA genes were analyzed, and the expression of these genes in roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruits was very different. The expression patterns under abiotic stress indicated that members of subfamily I were responsive to cold stress, drought stress and salt stress. However, the expression of members of subfamily I under salt treatment was not obvious. These results can provide some help and practical guidance for follow-up studies of the tomato GATA transcription factor family.
