Abstract:
Single phase materials cannot often cope with demands imposed on them with respect to economics and structural safety combined with lightness of structural compounds. Sandwich composite materials are an outcome of such a requirement. The use of Sandwich composites in building has increased in the recent years as also in the other areas like heat shields, aerospace structures and aircraft etc. etc., where lightness combined with strength and durability is at premium. The effect of creep on Sandwich composite using ferrocement facings and cellular concrete core is discussed.
