Ti-based high temperature superconducting structure series I: Ti2Ba2 Cal-1 Cul 02(1+2).

Abstract:
The superconducting structure series Ti2Ba2 Cai-i Cut 02(1 . 2) (I1,2,3...) is a sub-series of a more elaborate structures series given by the formula: TinBam Cos Cui 03/2n +m t-s +1-(i form = /-1, I = 1,2,3,... and a = 0 in the ideal case. The crystal structures of different members of this structure series are body centred tetragonal (belonging to the space group 14/mmm) with lattice parameters given by a1 = ao -?a, = (2.75 ± /) co -?c where ao = 3.8655 A, co — 6.16555 A, and ?a, ?c are small correction terms depending upon cations distribution in the structure. It is shown that atomic positions for different members of this structure series can be given by simple equations.
