Abstract:
Considering the agricultural importance of Bannu Basin and the significance of crops in the agricultural complex, this classification has been based on the crops gown in the district of Bannu. The paper objectively shows the spatial relationship as well as the relative importance of the existing crop-combinations The map reveals that wheat-gram is the most common crop association. Besides, it clearly shows the position of other crop-combinations. There is indication that crop diversification is very limited in the Bannu district and that it is directly proportional to irrigation If irrigation facilities are provided it would bring under cultivation not only the cultivable waste but also some of the areas presently. classified as uncultivable waste by the Revenue Department.
