Abstract:
In this study sixteen different compositions of insulating Bricks were prepared using different percentages of nagger parker clay 85%, 80%, 70% and 60%, saw dust percentages used were 20%, 15%, 15% and again 15% -50 mesh size calcined clay and size fractions of saw dust used are -12, +30, -30, +50, -50, +75, -75. The results of porosity, bulk density, thermal conductivity and crushing strength of the above compositions of insulating bricks ranged from 52.14% to 68.9%, bulk density ranged from 0.81 g/cm3 to 1.31 g/cm3, thermal conductivity ranged from 1234 Joule to 2458 Joule and crushing strength from 4.09 kg/cm3 to 83.76 Kg/cm3.
