Abstract:
The significance of the effect of birth interval on the reproductive wastage rates in human population has been assessed and found equally responsible. An indirect measure of the birth interval i.e. birth concentration, has been described and a distribution of maternal age and birth concentration is developed from the data originally classified by maternal age and birth order. Such re-classification of data would have been useful for investigating the effect of birth interval indirectly.
