Abstract:
The air pollutants in the afternoon rush hours in Tripoli were oxidants, sulphur dioxide and lead in that order. Lead exceeded the maximum allowable concentration at two places. The concentrations of all the pollutants were the highest at Maidan El Suwaihly. Three other localities connected to the major highways also indicated a high level of pollution.
