An application of fuzzy linear programming to expansion planning of electric power generation.

Abstract:
In this paper we have given an example of optimizing generation by using the method of Fuzzy linear programming. Fuzzy quantities capture the uncertainties in the various variables of generation expansion. This paper represents an effort in reverse engineering of one of the two classical Japanese works in the field of generation expansion planning. The programme was computer simulated using a standard optimization software and the results obtained were identical to the results of the earlier papers.
