Abstract:
This paper presents a new method to improve the performance of feature-based field morphing and to produce natural results like mesh morphing. This is accomplished by merging the two techniques of morphing, i.e. mesh morphing and field morphing. It is done in such a way that user specifies the features through line fields. Field morphing is slow and cannot produce natural results like mesh morphing while mesh morphing is cumbersome to be used at user level. Therefore, the main focus of this paper is to construct a mesh, automatically by computing nearest optimal points from the line fields, drawn by the user. The new proposed technique can generate a smooth morphing, hence can give natural results.
