Abstract:
The commonest use of diagnostic ultrasound is based on the Doppler Principle. Doppler Ultrasonic Apparatus is used to demonstrate the movement of a foetal heart and of blood in arteries and veins. The assessment of hazards is yet incomplete, but in diagnostic doses the risk seems negligible. The central nervous system and foetus should not be irradiated with therapy machines unless essential and that too with low doses.
