1. M. A. Farooquee:
Abstract:
Tinned butter produced by Military Dairy Farms, Pakistan contains on the average about 670 International units of vitamin A per oz. of butter. Some butter stocks contain even higher than 1000 IU per oz. and are comparable to the best produce of the world in this regard. Amount of vitamin A is gradually lost during storage. It is lost more rapidly during hot summer months than during cold winter months. Summer produce shows comparatively more vitamin A content than winter produce. This conclusion, however, needs further investigation.
