Abstract:
Northern parts of Pakistan especially the Himalayan mountainous range is one of the hotspots of biodiversity of the world. The aim of the current study is the molecular phylogenetic analysis some genera of Ino cybaceae from galyat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Pseudospermagalyatisp. nov., a new species belonging to Ino cybaceae has been collected and described from galyat wild forests of Pakistan using plectological and molecular details. Morphoanatomically, P. galyati is characterized by cuspidate pileus with wide central umbo, entire margin, clavate to utriform or cylindrical sometimes segmented cheilocystidia, smooth larger to broadly ellipsoid basidiospores. It is similar to P. bulbosissimum but this species differs by its dark reddish gray to light grayish pileus, qual to flexuous stipe base and fibrillose surface. Molecularly, this species was also independently supported by the ITS-rDNA based phylogeny proved its unique positon from the rest of closely related species like Pseudosperm abulbosissimum. The molecular data also confirmed the unique microscopic characteristics of this endemic species.
