Abstract:

The cultivation of ganja (Indica) in Naogaon subdivision of Rajshahi District has been described in the context of the composition of the soil in the area. The author believes that the cultivation of ganja possibly commenced after the arrival of the British and the Portuguese in the sub-continent according to the data recorded in 1872.
