Abstract:
X-ray microanalysis is a powerful tool for elemental analysis. When combined with the electron microscope this instrument can have a number of metallurgical applications. This technique is particularly important in the analysis of small precipitates, inclusions, etc. where point analysis is required. The aim of this paper is to give a brief description of X-ray microanalysis.
