Abstract:
A cryostat was designed which was capable of working between liquid nitrogen and ambient temperatures with an accuracy of 0.5°K. It was specially designed for calibrating resistance thermometers and thermocouples, and measuring resistivity and magneto-resistance of some metals and alloys at and above LN2 temperature. It is an instrument/equipment which is simple, small in size and convenient to use.
