Toxicity and abnormalities produced by Diflubenzuron in red cotton stainer dysdercus koenigii (Fabricius) (Hemiptera: Phrrhocoroidae)

Abstract:
Dysdercus koenigii (Fabr.) on occasions attains a pest status of cotton crop. The toxic effect of different concentrations of dimilin were tested against 5th stage immatures and adults. The toxicity of the compound was determined as 9.5 ug/nymph and 24 ug/adult. Morphological abnormalities produced were observed. Most of the treated nymphs were unable to moult or if the adults emerged they had abnormal wings and body.
