Abstract:
It is surprising to note that only three terrestrial isopod species: Hemilepistus klugii from the British Indian part now in Pakistan by Stebbing (1911), rediscovered by Schotte (1993) from coastal desert of Mekran; Periscyphis vittatus by Kazmi and Yousuf (2000) from the University Campus and Ligia exotica by Kazmi et al. (2002) from Karachi coast have so for been reported. The present contribution adds two new species to the Oniscidean fauna of Pakistan. This is based on newer material collected from coastal areas of Pakistan by the author, belonging to the genera Olibrinus and Armadilloniscus which are the first record from Pakistan and the species are undescribed. Each species is described and illustrated in the present paper.
