Five new trematodes of the genus Lecithochirium luhe, 1901 from the stomach of marine fishes of purl, Orissa, India.

Abstract:
Five new species of the genus Lecithochirium Luhe, 1901 from the stomach of marine fishes of Bay of Bengal, Puri, Orissa are described, namely L. pristipomai sp. n. from Pristipoma maculatum (Gunther); L. tanimae sp.n. from Gazza minuta (Bleeker); L. cynoglossusi sp.n. from Cynoglossus lida (Gunther); L. mugili sp.n. from Mugil cephalus (Russell) and L. tetradoni sp.n. from Tetradon lunaris (BI. Schn.). The genera Synap-tobothrium, Sterrhurus, Separogermiductus and Plerurus, Ceratotrema and Neohysterolecitha have been considered distinct from Lecithochirium.
