A new mite species of genus Amblyseius, Berlese (Acarina: Phytoseiidae) from Samasatta, Pakistan

Abstract:
A new species of Amblyseius vagus was collected from Samasatta, tehsil and district Bahawalpur, Pakistan during the year 2008 from a wild plant. It is illustrated and described in this research paper. The type was deposited in Acarology Research Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Entomology, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. This new species has now raised the number of known species of genus Amblyseius from 45 to 46 from Pakistan.
