Abstract:
This paper deals with the problem of obtaining a set of optimum inclusion probabilities {pi: i = 1,2…,N} optimum in the sense of having smallest average (δ-model based) mean square (design-based) of the Horvitz-Thompson estimator yH-T since optimum pi ‘s are dependent on model parameters, a “near optimum” solution based on the estimates of the model parameters have been proposed.
