Abstract:
We use UML to model architectural aspects of federated identity management systems (FIMs). Specifically, we apply two modelling approaches: the UML ”as-is” approach and a “profile-based” approach recently proposed in the literature. Adopting FIMs as a realistic case study, we analyse the suitability of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) as an architectural description language (ADL) in both approaches.
