Abstract:
The cotyledons, irrespective of the intergeneric differences among the investigated plants, contained a highly heterogeneous system of albumin fractions, which were further characterized by a complex electrophoretic composition. An appreciable difference was observed in albumins of chickpea, and lentil cotyledons, in the number of chromatographic fractions eluted, the concentration of ammonium sulphate at which, fractions had their maximum elutions and the electrophoretic behaviour of the respective albumins.
