Abstract:

The antibacterial activity of a new cardenolide, 78, 14B- dihydroxy- 5-card-20(22) enolide has been studied and it has been found to be active against Pseudomonas pseudomallei. The new cardenolide also exhibited antitumor activity in a potato disc assay.
