Abstract:
A new species of nematode (Nematoda: Rhabdochonidae) is reported here from the stomach of a fish, Cyprinion watsoni (Day, 1872) caught at river Bolan, Sibi division, Balochistan. Rhabdochona pakistanica n. sp. is distinguished from all species of the genus Rhabdochona Railliet, 1916 in general and its closest allies (possessing 8 prostomal teeth) mainly in body size, spicules ratio, number and distribution of caudal papillae, shape of the egg and position of vulva and excretory pore .
