Abstract:
A case of acute transverse myelitis in a young soldier without history of syphilis is described and syphilitic aetiology established. Response to specific treatment was satisfactory. It is concluded that syphilis continues to manifest in many unusual ways and diagnosis. A good number of cases are shrouded in a mystery which make it necessary to resort investigation.
