Abstract:

Eleven species of the genus Carpocoris Kolenati of the tribe Carpocorini Stal of the subfamily Pentatominae were analysed through two numerical taxonomic techniques viz. Trellis diagram and cluster analysis. With the exception of grouping at the lower level of hierarchy the results of numerical analysis corresponded closely with those of cladistic analysis. The results are discussed in the light of the grouping obtained on the basis of earlier results of the cladistics.
