Abstract:
This study is report of a SPE process involved the use of modified carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The proposed synthesis process was combination of CNTs-based sol-gel method and surface imprinting technique. TEM and FT-IR spectroscopy were used for the characterization of structure and morphology of methyl dopa (MTD)-imprinted polymeric nanoparticles. In this research, SPE parameters like concentration, sample solution pH, volume and flow rate of elution solvent and SPE adsorbent amount were optimized. The results indicate that the drug can be quantitatively retained by SPE column in the range of 95-100% with repeatability of the elution process under 5% and 0.01 mol L-1 HCl solutions were used as solvent for analyte elution. The best binding capacity of MIP and NIP sorbent was obtained with 250 mg polymer as 2485.14 and177.19 µg g-1, respectively. The calibration curve of MTD solution was linear in the range of about 2.5 to 125 µg mL-1. The detection and quantification limit of MTD were 0.24 and 0.72 µg mL-1. Finally clean traces were obtained for HPLC with UV-Vis detection with the use of this type of protocol.
