Abstract:
The study was conducted on manual grain bucket elevator for small grain bins. The tilting mechanism presently designed for manual grain elevator is simple and efficient device. Locally available materials was used for the manufacturing of this mechanism in the laboratory, the tilting mechanism performance was tested and it was found quite satisfactory. The machine can raise certain amount of grain (depending upon the size of the bucket) and tilting mechanism can automatically tilt the bucket due to which grains are delivered to the bin through a chute. Due to the simplicity of the design the machine can easily be operated by one person.
